Time. That was something that everyone seemed to want more of. But what choices did he have? He was fifteen and clearly was growing up. Even if others did not see him that way. He had been at the park like he usually did when he wanted some time to think. A lot of things had certainly come to light over the last few years. He'd come to see so many things that he did not imagine could even exist. A lot had happened over the past five years. Some things had been gained and lost, and in some ways he felt like every day was a new beginning. A new beginning of hope and change. Seemed like only yesterday all he'd had is the woman who raised him. No other family, nothing. And she didn't seem to believe in him. She was the Evil Queen. And yet that had changed, she'd finally seen the light. And had changed as a result. Perhaps it was because of the curse being broken, or any number of things really.
He had spent alternating weeks at each parents' place. Though it was slightly more complicated given well how many of them he really had. He'd had his birth parents and then his mother. Each of them seemed to be in new relationships. As his birth mother was with Captain Hook and his mother was with none other than Robin Hood. Then there was his father who had recently come back from the dead. So who knew how that'd play into the picture. He loved his family and he'd do anything for them. It felt like sometimes he was watching his life pass by before him. As though there were no other options. Stuck in the same old cycle.
Even when he tried to change, it seemed harder. But alas, today he felt like he wanted to be free. Free to just be himself. So he left the apartment he sometimes shared with his birth family. He didn't exactly know what the plan was for today, but as he walked through town everything felt like it was frozen. Quiet. Not many people were out and about. If they were, he didn't see them. Not that it mattered of course. Before long he had walked to the park and had noticed two familiar faces. Robin, his mother's boyfriend and his son, Roland who might as well have been a younger sibling. Both of which lived with him and his mother. He smiled as he walked towards the two of them. "Hey you two. What are you doing? Hope I'm not interrupting something." He asked out of curiosity. He'd not had one on one time with either of them. As usually his mother had joined them. Though he had to admit he wanted to. Especially since they did in fact live together. But it was going to be a very interesting type of day. He could see it coming now.
